Remi has developed a unique process where the traditional painter's brush is absent.

Like a sculptor, the painting is modeled with the fingers on the canvas, in an almost carnal relationship, directly body to body with the material. The oil is then scarified using metal tools and torn off in places.

This technique with its distinctive rendering is a real game of oppositions, where the subject is born from both the addition and removal of material.

This permanent search for balance allows the painter to create masterful canvases where beauty is always highlighted.

Contemplating his works is like opening a window into the soul of those who observe them.

Inhabited by the song of the world, in particular its human and animal fauna, Remi sublimates reality by amplifying it, by deifying it.

He thus creates his own mythology, inspired by fabulous bestiaries, legends, history and classical painting.

Like a mirror reflecting our own condition, animals question our place in the world.

Wrinkled men marked by the vicissitudes of life are like an ode to the passing of time. The women, shrouded in mystery, radiate a supernatural beauty.
