Rémi Planche is a French artist born in 1993. He lives and works in La Rochelle.

A multi-award winner at only 30 years old, he is a member of the Société des Artistes Français and the Taylor Foundation.

Rémi has developed a unique process in which the traditional painter's brush is absent.

Like a sculpture, the paint is modeled with the fingers on the canvas, in an almost carnal relationship, a direct, physical engagement with the material. The oil paint is then scarified with metal tools and torn away in places.
